Our Hope rests in Jesus Christ and his crucifixion on the Cross.

It is Finished – John 19:30

Are you facing Cancer or Health Issues? Why is Jesus Christ important?

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1: 18

to give you hope and a future.

For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord”.

Are you facing Cancer or Health problems, maybe you’re a caregiver of a loved one. We all feel at times our backs are against the wall, usually with more questions than answers. Talking with friends we’re told just have faith, a very misunderstood word. It is  harder to understand when the pain, and fear are severe, with not enough strength to even breath, let alone smile. Combine that with treatments that blur the day, no wonder it’s hard to think straight.

In my time of pain and fear the above image has been of great strength to me.

Jeremiah 29:11 – 14,

For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord,” plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me  and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, “declares the Lord”.

When you think of the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for us, imagine being with Jesus Christ for eternity, now this scripture begins to make even more sense.

Question – Why does Jeremiah 29:11 – 14  give me hope? Read the next two scriptures that talk about our future.

John 14: 1-4

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.  My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.

      2 Corinthians 4: 14 – 18

Because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more  people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us eternal glory that far outweighs  them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Even with these scriptures are you still angry?  Why do we have to go through all these trials?

A Doctor whose wife was having cancer removed from her spine, (in the hospital room next to my wife) gave  James 1: 2-5 to me to meditate on, after finding out that Nancy (my Wife’s) surgery had gone wrong and with major complications.

James 1: 2-5  Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds,  because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Now this is even more important.

James 1: 12

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial, because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

Question? Why wouldn’t you want to be tested?
