Perseverance when facing cancer and health difficulties.
Never giving up, God’s power is manifest in man’s weakest moments.
Perseverance is remembering the focus on God’s power and love.
We’re using Word of Life Images to help you focus on the power in your life by giving you Scripture that you can read and focus on, wall portraits that you can hang in your home or your office, but also, will give you inspiration that will help develop perseverance and lift you up on the days that your treatments, or your life options seem to get you down.
In my personal Bible reading today I read about perseverance ,Romans chapter 5:3 “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now, hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
I also remember and focus on Philippians chapter 4 verse 13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
My daily devotional is on the same subject as perseverance, I receive the devotional from In Touch Ministries (Dr. Charles Stanley). We supported in touch ministries for several years and he has been a blessing to our family and to me, daily. In his devotional today he calls to be an effective witness “Some of the most effective witnesses, are those who’ve gone through painful, trying circumstances. God’s power is manifest in man’s weakest moments. Whether the believer develops into a stronger witness as a result of the difficulties, depends on the response to the crisis. Many people make the mistake of focusing on the will of man, instead of God’s sovereignty. Then they find it impossible to believe that God will bring positive results from their pain. Those who rise above their circumstances understand that God uses every experience for good (Roman 8:28). I find for my own experiences that God daily blesses me, but I have to look for the blessings, I can’t be looking for the pain I can’t be looking for the injustice because that’s what I’ll see. I choose to look for his blessings and count them everyday. I see the doors that he opens for me and the ones he closes gently to guide me.
Perseverance when you’re facing an illness, whether it’s cancer or another form of disability. It’s hard not to focus on the pain but that’s what we must do, unless we want to feel the pain. Below will be another Video about perseverance, a young girl running a race that fell but didn’t give up. Are you that person? If you are let us know what Scripture gives you hope and comfort. Please leave us comments, give us suggestions on what else you want to see and how we can make this blog be something that will strength more people.
